- Each town has different pet laws concerning the beaches. The fines can be expensive and there are regular beach police patrols. Please respect the laws and the other people using the beach.
- Cats and other animals are not permitted in any of our homes.
- Homes that allow dogs are typically limited to one dog that weighs less than 75 pounds.
- The fee for bringing a dog is $125.00, plus tax.
Of course dogs are not permitted in pools and hot tubs. Any damage incurred by the pet is not covered by the security deposit and/or the security deposit waiver and is immediately charged to the guests’ credit card.
- All pet homes have been treated for fleas.
At the beach, all pet owners must clean up after their pets. Be aware that every municipality has leash laws:

At all other times the leash may be extended, but must be retractable to 12 ft. Well trained dogs may be unleashed under close supervision of owner, not to exceed 30 ft. in distance between owner and dog. |

No dogs shall be allowed on Kill Devil Hills town beaches from the hours of 9:00 am through 6:00 pm each day from May 15th through Sept. 15th, except those aiding a handicap person. |
