OBX Beach, Surf and Fishing Report: 10.2.13 – Gorgeous Fall Day
It certainly doesn’t feel like fall on the Outer Banks this morning, it feels more like a summer day!
Good morning everyone this is Brandon from OBX vacation rentals
provider Seaside Vacations with your OBX beach, surf and fishing report for Wednesday, October 02, 2013.
The picture above and video below are from this morning at 8:00 a.m. at the lovely town of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina
What month is it? The weather on the beach this morning reminds me of a June day on the Outer Banks! Temperatures in the mid-70s throughout the day and you won’t have to worry about any rain because there is a zero percent chance of precipitation!
Surfing conditions this morning aren’t as good as they were yesterday, but they aren’t bad. Wave height is about waist high and clean. Swell is on the way out and if you can find a good sandbar, you may be able to catch a few waves this morning/afternoon. Ocean water temperature is a very warm 70 degrees! :)
Hordes of people fishing on the Nags Head/Manteo cause bridge this morning. Pier anglers have had a great week with reports of Croaker, Spot, Sea Mullet and Pigfish today. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is closed due to the #shutdown. Pirates Cove is still open and charter boats caught plenty of Blackfin, Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo yesterday.
If you are looking for an Outer Banks vacation rental
