Don't Miss the 2014 Kelly's St. Patrick's Day Parade
Weather Alert: Kelly's St. Patrick's Day Parade has been moved up to 12:45 p.m. due to the oncoming storm this afternoon.
With the Outer Banks Taste of the Beach and the Kelly's St. Patrick's Day Parade quickly approaching, the OBX is certainly the place to be this March.
The holiday weekend kicks off with with Kelly's Running of the Leprechauns which takes place from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15. This year's
event will feature a 8k and 10k run that will start and end at Kelly's Restaurant and Tavern located in Nags Head, NC.
Be sure to wear all green and don't forget to dye your hair! Following the race, stick around for a brief awards ceremony in the restaurant tavern. Hang
out with friends - old and new - and chow down on Kelly's special holiday buffet that includes Irish stew and soda, sugar cookies, sweet potato biscuits,
and of course, plenty of Guinness beer.
There will be a DJ onsite playing your favorite Irish tunes from bands like Dropkick Murphy’s and Flogging Molly during
what is being called the "Rock’n Leprechaun" party.
On Sunday, come out to N.C. 12 or "beach road" and celebrate at the largest St. Patrick's Day Parade in North Carolina. Sponsored by Kelly's Restaurant,
the parade on average attracts around 10,000 spectators that come out to enjoy an afternoon of floats, live music, local marching bands, mascots, and local
Dare County fire and police departments.
The parade starts at Bladen Street in Nags Head and heads one mile north to Driftwood Street. The celebration lasts from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and is followed
by an Irish bash at Kelly's Restaurant. Parade attendees are asked to “wear your green, but wave your red, white and blue.”
