About Us: Community
What is Seaside C.A.R.E.S.?
Community Assistance for Relief, Environment and Service.
We know that it takes teamwork to build a better community. In 2013, Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty and Seaside Vacations implemented “Seaside C.A.R.E.S.” as our official charitable giving campaign. The program is designed to support four “buckets” within the Outer Banks and northeastern NC communities: Food, Community, Environment, and Veterans.
Through the Seaside C.A.R.E.S. Charitable Giving Campaign, our mission is to give back to the local community by providing charitable contributions and volunteer support, thus strengthening and reinforcing our commitment to creating lasting changes in our community. In some cases, the company provides matching funds, allowing individual contributions to make an even greater impact.
We believe that the quality of life found on the Outer Banks and in northeastern North Carolina depends on the generous support of those who live, work, and vacation here. We contribute our time, talents and resources to help ensure a brighter future for all who call this area home. From a few hours volunteered by an employee to national initiatives that include disaster relief, learn more about how Seaside gives back.
Our “Vacation with a Purpose” program was established to encourage employees, homeowners and guests to support local non-profit organizations.
By partnering with The Beach Food Pantry and Food for Thought, we are able to restock the shelves of local food banks and help reduce hunger facing elementary children by providing healthy meals on the weekends and holidays during the school year.
In addition, we encourage our vacationing guests to help those in need. Seaside guests may leave any unopened, non-perishable food items in our lobby which are then donated to local food banks.
Through multiple initiatives, including the Outer Banks Relief Foundation, Community Clinic of Dare, educational scholarships and more, we aim to improve the well-being of our community.
The Corolla Wild Horse Fund and N.E.S.T. (Network for Endangered Sea Turtles) are two causes we support in our effort to protect our delicate beaches and their inhabitants.
Along with programs such as The Wounded Warrior Project and Warriors on the Water, we strive to raise awareness and provide services for the needs of injured service members.
Help us make a difference.
As agents, employees, homeowners, and vacationing guests, we can all work together to create lasting positive effects in our community by supporting local non-profit organizations.
Agents & Employees
As a part of our company policy, Seaside employees are encouraged to volunteer in the community throughout the year. Employees may use up to 12 paid hours a year to volunteer at local non-profit organizations. In addition, sales agents may choose to donate part of their commisson to the bucket of their choice.
