Things to Bring to Your Vacation Rental Home

What to Pack

Your vacation rental home features all the comforts of home, plus a few upgrades! Just remember that there are some things you should be sure to bring along with you, since you may not find them in your vacation rental home. Below is a list of items to remember to pack, as compiled by our vacation specialists:

For the kitchen:

  • Condiments
  • Paper towels
  • Napkins
  • Garbage bags
  • Aluminum and plastic wrap
  • Dishwashing detergent
  • Coffee filters
  • Groceries
  • Soap

Bringing your pet:

  • Towel for drying off a wet dog
  • Bottle of water and bowl for beach outings
  • Dog first aid kit
  • Pick-up bags
  • Leash
  • Floating fetch toy
  • Life jacket (if the water is rough or your dog is not an expert swimmer)
  • Sunscreen (if your dog is light skinned or has short fur—look for baby-safe, PABA-free, hypoallergenic types)

General:

  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Sheets for crib or port-a-crib (sorry! we don’t provide these)
  • Beach equipment (toys, chairs, umbrella, beach blanket & cooler)
  • Toilet paper
  • Laundry detergent
  • All-purpose cleaner
  • Sunscreen
  • Beach/pool towels

Many of our homes feature items such as DVD and book libraries, video game systems with games, baby equipment and beach gear (umbrellas, chairs and toys). Be sure to check the home’s web page to find out if it provides amenities other than the standard amenities found in every Seaside Vacations home.
