14 Restaurants to Spend Valentines Day at on the Outer Banks
With Sweethearts candies flying off local grocery store shelves and restaurants releasing their special dinner menus for two, Valentine's Day is certainly in the air on the Outer Banks. And if you plan on spending the holiday with your beloved, than I hope you already have plans in the works for this Friday.
Even if she already said these misleading words "I don't want to do anything for Valentine's Day this year," you better have a dozen roses and a heart shaped box full of chocolate waiting in your car. Although a sizable amount of local restaurants on the Outer Banks are closed until March, there are quite a few spots that are re-opening their doors for the pending holiday.
Whether you're an area resident or just visiting the OBX for a weekend getaway, I've taken the liberty of listing some suggestions on where to take your sweetheart on Valentine's Day. You can thank me later.
Restaurants Open on the Outer Banks on Valentine's Day
Established in 1989 by John Power and Sam McGann, the restaurant is located at the Waterfront Shops in Duck and overlooks the Currituck Sound. The Blue Point is one of the most upscale restaurant on the Outer Banks.
Dinner entrees are about $30 a plate and include delicious menu items like red wine braised beef short ribs to crispy cornmeal fried Carolina catfish.

Make plans to visit Trio on Valentine's Day and enjoy a special menu prepared by Chef Neil that includes special wines, craft beers, and unique menu items. Come with a empty stomach and enjoy scrumptious entrees that include oysters, avocado, truffles, honey, chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon.
Be sure to save room for dessert too. I recommend the dark chocolate goat cheese cheesecake or Guinness bread pudding. Dinner is $35 per person and starts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14.

Grab your valentine and head to Franco's on Friday and enjoy some of the very best Italian fare on the Outer Banks. Tucked away in a shopping plaza at Milepost 7, indulge on their delicious entrees like the Spaghetti Puttanesca or Chicken Parmigiana.

Visited by Guy Fieri during the Outer Banks edition of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, Brine and Bottle is known for their tapas style plates that are very unique compared to every other area restaurant.
