Coming to the Nags Head, NC soundfront this May is the Outer Banks` newest outdoor attraction. The First Flight Adventure Park, which is the areas first aerial adventure park, is set to open just before the 2014 Memorial Day weekend.
The area`s newest attraction is located right on the scenic Roanoke Sound just north of Pamlico Jack`s restaurant around milepost 16 off U.S. 158 or as local`s like to call it, the bypass. Access to the park is possible through the Dairy Queen`s parking lot.
From climbing the tallest lighthouse in the nation to riding some of the very best waves found on the East Coast, there is certainly no shortage of activities for thrill-seeking Outer Banks vacationers. The First Flight Adventure Park should be added to any adventure junkies OBX bucket list.
The course is a multi-level, self-guided challenge ropes course designed for all skill levels and ages. Challenge Design Innovations with the help of Wicked Oceans created this hurricane themed course that`s the first of its kind in the nation. There are 42 elements and 6 zip rides which are sure to challenge and excite. Ascend the ropes to the peak for a stunning view of the ocean and sound or swing across the zip line to achieve the feeling of weightlessness.
