See the sites of many “firsts” as well as local lore, tales, and history and see why Dare County is often referred to as “The Land of Beginnings.” You’ll find out fun information as the Chief tells stories about The Lost Colony of Roanoke, local pirates, the Underground Railroad, the Wright Brothers, and famed actor Andy Griffith.
