Monday, August 12, 2013
Seaside Vacations is excited to offer a wide range of Outer Banks vacation rental homes near the 30th Annual Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament. From oceanfront to soundfront, Seaside Vacations has over 75 vacation rental homes within ten miles of the fishing tournament headquarters.
The 30th Annual Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament takes place August 12 through 16 and is hosted by Pirates Cove Marina located in Manteo, NC. The tournament is an annual world-class fishing event that draws in hundreds of spectators each year to the Outer Banks.
Kristen Constantineau, Creative Director at Seaside Vacations, says, “We have many Outer Banks rentalhomes located in the tournament's neighboring towns of Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills and Kitty Hawk. Many of our rental homes are pet-friendly and offer spectacular amenities such as private, pools, hot tubs and game rooms.”
In 2012, there were two blue marlins caught by contestants and in 2008, the 25th year of the tournament, a record shattering 1,200 pound blue marlin was caught -- the largest in North Carolina’s state history.
"The Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament is an annual event that many of our guests and employees look forward to each year,” said Constantineau. “Anglers say there’s no better way to relax than fishing. We say there’s no better place to fish than the Outer Banks.”
