You are here

All fun. No stress. And more importantly, no guys. "Girls night out" may be a great quick escape, but for a real bonding experience and chance to relax with friends, pack your bags for a week-long girl getaway on the Outer Banks. When you're here, you can leave your troubles at home and just enjoy being with those gal pals who are always there for you. Our daily trip planner includes a week-long list of activities we suggest you try for the ultimate girls beach getaway.

DAY 1: BEACHIN' IT

Well known for our gorgeous beaches that are rarely crowded, it's only natural that a full day on the beach is part of the agenda. Start your Outer Banks girl getaway right - with a little fun in the sun. Relaxing on the beach is a perfect activity for anyone but during a girl's trip, it's a great opportunity to catch up, read your favorite book, get in some swimming, and even work on your tan. We suggest packing a cooler with snacks and drinks so you can soak up as much sun as possible or you can always break for lunch! Click here to discover the best beach accesses in each town.

DAY 2: RETAIL THERAPY

Well known for locally-owned boutique style shopping and inviting boardwalk shops, you won't be disappointed by the possibilities of an Outer Banks shopping excursion. We have everything from fine art galleries, souvenir shops and home decor stores to gourmet food and wine shops, pet stores, and clothing and jewelry boutiques.

Oh, and don't forget about the great bargains at the Outlets in Nags Head! Polo, J.Crew, Gap, Nine West and Coach are just a few of the name brand stores you'll find in this shopping plaza.

DAY 3: FIND YOUR INNER PEACE (& GET PAMPERED)

After a full day of shopping on the Outer Banks, you'll need a day of pampering. Start your day of relaxation with a full sunrise yoga session. Once you've found your inner peace, immerse yourself in surroundings designed to comfort and relax by visiting an Outer Banks spa. From mani/pedis and facials to massages and body treatments, the spas of the Outer Banks restore inner balance and cleanse the spirit.

There are Yoga studios and spas in each town meaning you never have to stray far from your beach home! However, we suggest the AQUA Spa in Duck which offers everything from deep tissue and aromatherapy massages, microdermabrasion and vitamin C facials and signature manicures and pedicures and The Studio, Outer Banks which offers beach yoga, meditation & mindfulness classes, restorative yoga, and other classes and workshops.

DAY 4: WINE, BEER, OR SPIRITS

Whatever your preference, your girl's getaway isn't complete without a sampling of our local wines, brews and spirits! From tours to sampling, we've got you covered.

Seaside Vacations guests can receive a free $10 Wine Station Card to sample wines at TRiO! Consider visiting the Sanctuary Vineyards a few miles north on the mainland for a Free VIP Wine Tasting through Club Seaside.
