Halloween Island 2025

Join us at the site of America’s oldest mystery — the Lost Colony of Roanoke — for 13 nefarious nights of fun including 13 uniquely themed pop-up Halloween bars, 13 eerie inns, 13 spooky shops and 13 seasonal events & experiences brought to you by 13 local sponsors, with proceeds benefitting 13 local charities through our partnership with the Outer Banks Community Foundation.

 

The fun begins at sunset on October 3 during the town’s monthly First Friday street party and runs every Thursday through Saturday throughout the month of October. We’ll have a “sneak preview” kickoff party at The Pioneer Theater on Thursday, October 2 during the premiere of the Halloween Int. Film Festival 2025, at which Halloween Island passports & t-shirts will be available prior to their official release to the public.

 

This month-long “trick-or-treating for adults” event includes a Passport Challenge that winds you through 13 pop-up Halloween bars throughout town as you collect passport stamps from each of the Halloween bars. Completed passports can be redeemed for an exclusive HALLOWEEN ISLAND Passport Completion Reward as well as entry into one of five weekly raffle drawings for prize packs including gift cards from participating businesses as well as sweet swag from all over town.

 

Bringing the kids? The Halloween Island Passport includes a Kids’ Quest so children can collect their own passport stamps from the 13 Spooky Shops, which can redeemed for their very own passport completion reward!
