Visitors and locals alike are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, September 11, 2025, during the annual Outer Banks 9/11 Memorial Walk: March to Remember.
The March to Remember is set to begin at 8:46 a.m. — the exact time that the first airplane struck the North Tower on September 11, 2001 — starting at Dare County EMS Station 1/Kill Devil Hills Fire Department Station 14 (1628-1632 N Croatan Highway) and will continue towards The Wright Brothers Monument and back.
Attendees interested in joining the march should arrive at 8:30 a.m.
