The Wright Brothers’ historic first flight was a turning point not only for aviation, but for Dare County itself—helping transform a once-isolated coastal region into a place forever linked with innovation and progress.
As America prepares to mark its 250th anniversary, this event highlights why the Wright Brothers remain such a vital part of the national story. Held oceanside at Jennette’s Pier, the evening will reflect on the legacy of flight, exploration, and ingenuity that began on these beaches and continues to shape the country today.
