RESTAURANTS ON THE OUTER BANKS - OPEN YEAR ROUND
If you’ve ever tried grabbing a bite during fall, winter, or early spring on the OBX, you know the struggle—favorites suddenly close, hours change without warning, and options shrink fast.
The off-season is the time between Labor Day and Memorial Day and because it's less busy compared to the peak, mid-summer months, many local shops and restaurants close their doors during this time. Some local restaurants in the Outer Banks close up shop for a few months with little to no notice at all!
To make off-season dining easier, here’s a curated list of restaurants that stay open year-round (or close only briefly). Whether you’re a longtime local or a winter beach traveler, these spots will keep you fed and happy until summer returns.
We didn't include every restaurant in the OBX, but we did include places we'd recommend trying, whether you are a first-time visitor or a life-long local. Feel free to share this with anyone you know who lives on the beach or is planning a visit during the off-season.
