Summer might be over but the fall event and holiday event schedule is just getting underway! Due to our geographical ability to easily obtain fresh seafood and local produce, food culture is often at the center of our celebrations here on the Outer Banks... but who doesn't love a fun food festival? One of the most anticipated food-related events every year is the Outer Banks Food Truck Showdown—a fun, family-friendly celebration of food from all over the state!

The OBX Food Truck Showdown typically occurs in June and September every year but unfortunately, this year's September showdown got pushed back due to Hurricane Dorian. However, the Outer Banks Food Truck Showdown will once again return to the Soundside Event Site in Nags Head on November 24, 2019! Visitors will love sampling all the tasty dishes and local craft beer all while enjoying live music as each food truck competes for best in title!
