At Seaside Vacations, the holidays are about more than twinkling lights and festive decorations. They’re about showing up for our Outer Banks community in meaningful ways. And in 2025, our annual Seaside Cares Holiday Trifecta became one of our most heartfelt celebrations yet.
From food drives and toy collections to senior gift bundles and Christmas parades, this season reminded us just how powerful kindness can be when homeowners, guests, local businesses, and our community come together.

Seaside Cares is Seaside Vacations' charitable giving campaign, working alongside our annual Holiday Drive Trifecta to amplify support for our community throughout the holidays and beyond. Focused on giving back to the Outer Banks, Seaside Cares believes that the quality of life here is enriched by the generosity of those who live, work, vacation, and own property in the area. Guided by an Advisory Committee, our fundraising and volunteer efforts raise money and awareness for the causes we care about. Since Seaside Cares is managed internally by our finance team, 100% of the funds raised go directly to charitable organizations.
A Seaside Vacations Holiday Tale
’Twas the season of giving on the Outer Banks coast,
When Seaside set out to spread cheer the most.
With boxes and bags and donations galore,
Our Holiday Trifecta was back—maybe bigger than before.
Friends near and far answered our call,
From generous partners to owners and guests—one and all.
A heartfelt thank-you to the local businesses who gave with good cheer:
The Supply Room, Pro One, Cross Roads OBX, Absolute Plumbing, Outer Banks Pest Control, and The Gentleman Plumber—plus our guests throughout the year and our incredible homeowners, who helped make the magic happen.
The giving didn’t stop there, not even close—
Because together, we turned kindness into something to boast.
Supporting Incredible Local Organizations
This holiday season, Seaside Cares proudly donated checks to five amazing Outer Banks organizations that work year-round to support our coastal community, education initiatives, wildlife preservation, and local families in need.

- Corolla Wild Horse Fund
- Network for Endangered Sea Turtles (N.E.S.T.)
These organizations help preserve and strengthen the place we’re fortunate to call home, and we’re honored to support the work they do every day.
Over 100 Pounds of Food Collected
Thanks to the generosity of our community, Seaside Cares collected more than 100 pounds of food donations to help support local food pantries across the Outer Banks.
Every canned good, boxed meal, and pantry staple helped provide comfort and support for local families during the holiday season, proving that even small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
Toys, Smiles, and Giving Back
The spirit of giving continued with toy donations for Toys-for-Tots and a special initiative focused on bringing joy to local seniors.
Inspired by our annual Jingle in July initiative, our team spent the season gathering, organizing, wrapping, and preparing gifts designed to brighten the holidays for residents at local senior communities.
174 Gift Bags Delivered with Love
Each thoughtfully assembled gift bag included comforting essentials and festive surprises such as:
- Cozy blankets
- Grip socks
- Coloring books
- Toiletries
- Sweet treats
- Holiday cheer in every package
They were then delivered to Spring Arbor of the Outer Banks and Peak Resources Outer Banks by our staff. Seeing the joy these gifts brought to local seniors was one of the most meaningful moments of the entire season. locals, visitors, owners, and local partners dropped off donations at our Seaside Vacations offices in Kitty Hawk or Avon. We had an even better turnout this year, and we are SO thankful to everyone who helped make this an incredible Seaside Cares holiday donation season.
Spreading Cheer Across the Outer Banks
Because holiday magic is, at its heart, a community effort, we participated in not one, but two festive Christmas parades.
Dressed as merry misfits full of sparkle and holiday spirit, Team Seaside proudly participated in:
- Manteo Christmas Parade
- Hatteras Christmas Parade
From waving at families along the parade routes to sharing laughs, candy, and holiday excitement, these events were the perfect way to celebrate the season together as a community.

- Mail us a check. Mail to 3620 N. Croatan Hwy, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949 and note on the check that it is a donation to Seaside Cares.
No amount is too small—every contribution adds up to create a wave of support for those who need it most.

While the funds are donated to tax-deductible organizations, Seaside Cares acts as a fundraising campaign that redistributes contributions to multiple recipients. For this reason, your donation cannot be attributed to a specific recipient.
