As the holiday season draws near, there's no better time to share the joy of giving and uplift our Outer Banks community. At Seaside Vacations, we believe in the strength of coming together to support our neighbors in need. That's why we’re thrilled to kick off our Third Annual Seaside Cares Holiday Drive Trifecta! Once again this year, we’re joining forces for three impactful local donation drives to support the causes closest to our hearts. Read on to discover our Seaside Cares initiatives and easy ways for you to help make a difference this holiday season!
We will be taking collections NOW through December 1, 2025!
Help Us Support Our Local Senior Citizens
Just like last year, we will be supporting our local senior citizens with a Clothing & Amenities Drive to provide donations to Peak Resources Outer Banks and Spring Arbor Outer Banks. Our goal for 2025 is to collect 200 new cozy blankets for the senior citizens at Peak Resources and Spring Arbor. This year, we’re excited to share that Seaside will match each blanket donation with a pair of cozy grip socks for our seniors — doubling the comfort! Many of these residents spend the holidays away from family, and your generosity helps bring them warmth and joy.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate a new, cozy blanket — Drop it off or mail it to our Kitty Hawk or Buxton office.
Send a check — We’ll purchase blankets on your behalf.
Mail checks to:
Seaside Vacations

Kitty Hawk, NC 27949
Please note “Seaside Cares Donation” on your check.
Locations for Drop-Off
You can drop off items for all of our drives (non-perishable food, unwrapped toys, and blankets) at both our Kitty Hawk and Avon office locations:

Help Us Feed Families in Need
We understand that the holidays can be a challenging time for many families. The client base at the Beach Food Pantry has doubled since last year, meaning that there are twice as many families who are in need of food all year round. That's why we're launching this food drive to collect non-perishable food items to help those who are less fortunate. We invite everyone to participate and contribute to this worthy cause.
In partnership with the Beach Food Pantry and the Cape Hatteras Food Pantry, starting now and running through Thanksgiving and Christmas, we encourage you to drop off non-perishable food items at either of our Seaside Vacations offices, conveniently located in Kitty Hawk and Avon. Donations dropped off at our Kitty Hawk location will be donated to the Beach Food Pantry, while donations at our Avon office will go to the Cape Hatteras Food Pantry on Hatteras Island. This holiday food drive is not just about helping those in need; it's also an opportunity for us to come together as a community and make a difference. We encourage you to share this initiative with your friends, family, and neighbors. Together, we can collect a significant amount of food to support the Beach Food Pantry and Cape Hatteras Food Pantry.
What Should I Donate?
Our local food pantries in Dare County are in need of just about everything non-perishable you can think of, but here are a few staples that they could especially use during the holiday season.
- Canned Vegetables 14-15oz
- Peanut butter 16-18oz
- Canned beans 14-15oz
- Breakfast items - Cereal, oatmeal, grits, breakfast bars, pop tarts
- Rice- Brown and White 1 lb bags
- Canned Fruits - packed in juice or water 15oz
- Hygiene items - toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, etc.
- Canned soups
- Hamburger Helper, Knorrs sides, etc.
- Instant Mashed Potatoes.
Help Us Make Christmas Magical for Local Kids
In addition to accepting donations for the Beach Food Pantry and the Cape Hatteras Food Pantry, both of our office locations will also be collecting donations for Toys for Tots. Drop off new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0 up to 12 years old at our Kitty Hawk and Avon locations. Toys will then be donated to Toys for Tots who will distribute them to children in need, ensuring that Santa shows up and makes the holiday season merry and bright for everyone.
What Should I Donate?
Toys for Tots does not publish a list of appropriate toys to donate. If such a list were created, most would follow it, resulting in a limited selection of items to distribute in each community. They would rather our donors consider what might be an appropriate gift for their own child/relative, purchase the item, and donate to Toys for Tots. This is a great way to get your own kids involved! Help this pick up something that they would like to donate. And when it doubt, you can always count on a classic. Sports gear, board games, and books are always a hit with everyone and will make any child smile.
Why Should You Participate?
We understand that everyone is struggling right now to make ends meet, so you may be wondering why you should participate in this food drive?
