Rodanthe Pier Update

Outer Banks visitors and residents were devastated to see the severe damage the Rodanthe Pier sustained earlier this month, when the entire end of the structure was torn off and tossed into the ocean due to heavy surf from a winter storm.

Although it currently remains closed for the season, the Rodanthe Pier's owners plan to rebuild the section that was lost and reopen the pier for fishing and sightseeing this summer-but they need your help!

A GoFundMe page has been created to help raise funds to fix the pier. To donate, visit You can also contribute to the rebuilding effort by purchasing tickets to win a custom-made fishing rod, courtesy of Jim Focht with Rodanthe Rods. Tickets cost $5 each and can be purchased by visiting the Rodanthe Pier's Facebook page.

Let's help bring this Outer Banks landmark back to life!
