Last week we released part 1 of of our Outer Banks vacation marriage proposal ideas series and as promised, we’re back with the the final 5 ideas on how to propose to that special someone when you are here on your next OBX vacation.

10 Heart Melting Outer Banks Vacation Marriage Proposal Ideas Pt. 2

6. Sunset Sailing on the Roanoke Sound

Outer Banks sailing at its finest! The Downeast Rover departs from the Manteo waterfront for two-hour sailing trips that are offered three times a day including a sunset tour at night. Away from the hustle and bustle of the beach, you can enjoy the 55-foot topsail schooner sailing on the Roanoke Sound with Jockey’s Ridge and Roanoke Island as the perfect back drop. The beautiful sunset tour is BYOB so bring along your favorite bottle of champagne to toast once your loved one says yes.

7. Nighttime Walk on an OBX Pier

After having dinner at a local restaurant or at your OBX vacation rental, head over to the nearest pier for a nighttime walk. Jennette’s Pier is the nicest pier on the Outer Banks but any of them will do. Get down on one knee when you reach the end and the pier’s lights reflecting off the ocean water will set the perfect scene for an unforgettable engagement proposal!

8. Romantic Waterfront Restaurant

One of the most romantic places to have dinner on the OBX would have to be at one of our many waterfront restaurants. Below are some highly rated local waterfront restaurants that are perfect for not only a delicious meal, but the perfect setting to propose your love.

9. Sunset on Jockey’s Ridge

Park across the street from Jockey's Ridge (the tallest natural sand dune system in the Eastern United States) and walk over with your loved one just before dusk. One of the best places to watch a sunset on the Outer Banks, your loved one’s heart will certainly melt as the sun falls and you offer your everlasting love.

10. Banner in the Sky

What is more romantic than seeing your names together in the sky? Contact the folks at OBX Aerials and have them fly over the beach near your Outer Banks vacation rental.
